GC2019 Volunteer Portal Now Open!

posted on November 06

The GC2019 volunteer portal is now open! If you have the gift of radical hospitality and the flexibility to volunteer at the Special Session of General Conference in February 2019, we invite you to apply. Please also encourage gifted lay members of your local church to consider applying.

There are a variety of volunteer positions available for all skill and mobility levels. GC2019 local host volunteers do NOT need to apply for guest registration for the Special Session. You will be allowed to sit within the guest section of the General Conference when you aren’t on volunteer shift.

Priority for volunteers will go to Missouri and Illinois Great Rivers members, who serve as co-hosts for the special session. Additionally, there will be required hospitality and intercultural awareness training for every volunteer. Please note the volunteer process below. We will contact you periodically throughout the process regarding your application. After the below expectations are met, approved volunteers will be allowed to sign up for shifts in one of six areas: Global Delegation Hosts, Transportation, Hotel Hospitality, Dome Hospitality, Registration and Prayer (prayer volunteers may also be invited to complete an application through Upper Room ministries related to specific prayer responsibilities).
